Syria Civil War

The war which is between Government of Syria and many rebel groups(Political Groups used armed conflict to established their government in country) of syria. In 2011 Citizen of syria start their protest against syrian government. On the protest of citizen the police army start fire over protesters, and then after protesters also fire against the police army. In 2013 government chemical attack on citizen.

Nature of War

1) Civil War :- Citizen of Syria protest against their government(President- Bashar Al                                     Assad) of syria. Now here begins the civil war of Citizens v/s President.

2) Religious War :- We can also say that this war is also a religious war because this fight                                   is between Shia and Sunni. In syria majority of population is                                                   sunni(80%).  And the present government of syria is Shia. so the                                             majority of people want their own government

3) Cold War :- This war is also between the different countries who supports and against of                          government. Russia,Iran supports the government and in other hand USA                              against of government of syria.

Reasons

1) Political Repression :- Government tortured, kill their citizen and put them in jail who                                                  protest against them.

2) Rebel Groups :- Many rebel groups make their own armed fighters and attack over the                                   government. Many terrorist group come from another country and make                                 their own base in syria and attack on the citizen and government.

3) Poverty

4) Drought, Food price

5) Extremist :- In 2012 many extremist come to syria and fight against government.

Peace Initiatives

UNSC(United nation of security Council) did three meetings Geneva-1, Geneva-2 and Geneva-3 in 2012, 2014 and 2016. But these meetings cannot solve this issue and fail to give result. Also USA and Russia sign ceasefire agreement it didn't give any peaceful result.
